Notes:

All carry-on baggage must fit in the sizing device at check-in, and must be stored under the seat or in the overhead compartment onboard the aircraft. Porter will honour the allowances of the airline that makes up the longest portion of your journey. Please verify our Airline Partner’s allowances as they may differ from Porter’s.
  • Carry-on baggage is limited to two pieces:
    • 1 standard article not exceeding 55 cm x 23 cm x 40 cm (21.5 in x 9 in x 15.5 in) and weighing less than 9 kg (20 lbs)
    • 1 personal article not exceeding 43 cm x 16 cm x 33 cm (17 in x 6 in x 13 in) and weighing less than 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Items that are not permitted in carry-on baggage aboard the aircraft are those that present a potential hazard. They include, but are not limited to, weapons and toys resembling weapons, tools, restraining devices, cutting and puncturing devices (knives, box cutters, scissors, straight razors), and other hazardous items as defined and regulated by law, including explosives, poisons, and other toxic materials.
  • All carry-on baggage must fit in the sizing units located both at check-in and the gate areas.
  • On board the aircraft, all carry-on baggage must be stowed under the seat or in the overhead compartments.
  • The following items are not counted as carry-on: coats, cameras, receptacles containing human remains, containers carrying life sustaining items, strollers, child restraint systems, crutches, canes, walkers and other such items. Further information regarding child restraint systems can be found here.
  • The maximum number of pets permitted on any flight is two. Carriage of pets is subject to availability. Further information on the pet policy can be found here.
  • Porter may require that an item of carry-on baggage travel as checked luggage if the bag cannot be safely stowed in the cabin.
  • Passengers travelling with children are permitted to carry, free of charge, one stroller and one car seat per child. Parents travelling with an infant under 2 years of age (without paid seat) are permitted a small diaper bag as a carry-on bag as an additional carry-on.
    • These items are subject to standard carry-on weight and size restrictions.

Notes:

  • Fees are per direction, and include local taxes, depending on origin of ticket.
  • Fees are indicated in CAD/USD.
  • Fees processed online or through the Call Centre will be charged in booking currency. Fees processed at the airport will be charged in local currency.
  • Porter only accepts debit or credit payments at check-in and the gate.
  • Each bag weighing between 23 kg (50 lb) and 32 kg (70 lb) is charged a fee of $77.50 CAD/USD.
  • No single piece can weigh more than 32 kg (70 lb).
  • Any single piece weighing measuring more than 158 cm (62 in) total dimension (the sum of the length, width and height) is charged $77.50 CAD/USD per direction.
  • No single piece can exceed 203 cm (80 in) total dimension.
  • If a bag is both overweight and oversized, the $77.50 fee is charged only once.
  • For 3rd and subsequent bags, no overweight or oversized bag fee is charged.
  • Strollers and car seats may be carried free of charge for children.

Pets Pets consist of cats and small dogs up to 9 kg or 20lbs $50 per direction.
Porter limits the number of pet carriers allowed in the aircraft cabin to two at any one time.
In order to make sure the carrier fits under the seat, your pet and carrier must fit the following criteria:
  • Maximum allowable weight of pet and carrier = 9 kg (20 lb). Weight is included in standard per passenger baggage limits.
  • Maximum carrier size allowed:
    • Height 23 cm; Width 40 cm; Length 55 cm;
      (9 in x 16 in x 22 in)
  • Porter accepts soft-sided carriers only.
  • Carriers not meeting the dimensions will not be accepted.

Such items include, but are not limited to, weapons and toys resembling weapons, tools, restraining devices, cutting and puncturing devices (knives, box cutters, scissors, straight razors), and other hazardous items defined and regulated by law, including explosives, poisons, and other toxic materials.

*Gate Porter service is available for passengers who wish to leave carry-on items at the aircraft bridge prior to boarding. Items are then transferred to baggage hold for flight transport. Upon arrival in destination, the items are returned to the bridge for passenger pick-up.
